A new revelation or cognition which comes from the study of ethics I have been doing.
Have you ever considered how influence able you are? Let’s assume you are your own person and you believe what you believe and you consider yourself an unbiased person, no one can tell you what to believe.
Now let us say your best friend spreads a rumor about your wife, husband or partner. He says she seems a little on the lazy side and let’s say it was just done in jest, nothing serious even done with a smile, not even serious about it, just a small little evaluation.
Now because you are not affected by things like this you make no matter about this OR DO YOU? On a scale of 1 – 10 you may give it, not even a one in regards to how this comment may influence you. My thought s on this are that it influences you much more than you may think.
You may act, the next time you see your partner just a hair harsher about her or he relaxing just a hair to much. You never attribute this feeling to a comment made earlier. Just how many comments do you have to hear about something (and of course theses comments are of a more negative nature) before you start to really be a little upset. You then say this is the way I feel, I have standards. But I ask whose standards. Of course you say they are your standards. But the real question is, are they ? and the so called answer can come back , yes . What does it matter whose, for this is the way I feel about this. And of course you cannot argue with that
My point is this. It is always best, not to spread negative considerations about others. Let others be who they are. Inspire others by your own actions, if you feel ill will towards someone, it may be because of others and their considerations. Be in the moment. Enjoy the moment without bias; no one is perfect on this earth, not even you.
When people are admired for their strengths and virtues they rise up to those expectations. When people are scorned for their vices, they bite back with vengeance; because you are exposing wrongness with the person from which they either know it is true or not, it pays no matter. If not a sore spot it becomes one. They must protect themselves with reasons why, even if they are bad reasons. Nobody wins with this kind of communication. Yes it proves rightness of one over another, but you need to ask yourself this. Does proving oneself right promote the greatest survival and happiness for all.
Then coming back to what I started with; Take a look at who might be spreading negative feelings, ideas and rumors about another. This could be a reason why you might be in argument.
